ALR CHAPTER 108 MINUTES 8 July 2025

Called to Order at 1730 hours by Director John Moffitt

Roll Call of Officers

Present: Director, Assistant Director, Road Captain, Secretary, Treasurer, Webmaster, Quartermaster, Membership, Sgt-at-Arms, Chaplain 

We have a quorum.

Introduction of Guests: Sgt-at-Arms Mike Covell

New Members (Membership Chairman Cindy Arrigoni) 

Intro of new members – None.

Vote on new members – None.

Minutes of previous meeting (June meeting): 

Changes or corrections to the minutes- None.

Motion was made by Bob Dorfman, seconded by Gary Taylor and passed to approve the minutes of the June meeting.

Officer’s reports: 

Director: John Moffitt

Please be sure to attend the Post meetings if you are a Legion member, and Auxiliary if you are an Auxiliary member. We are Legionnaires first and need to also be active at the Post level.

Don’t forget to send your hours on the first of the month to Ron. Number of hours for Community/Veterans; number of hours for Post.

AZALR Traveling Trophy. Limit it to Cave Creek and further north with none to Phoenix area.

July 11 – PGR Mission – Mathew Nelson at Chino Valley 1:15 AM staging.

 July 18 – PGR Mission – Rudy Perez, USAF - PNC – Staging: 10:15 AM

 July 18 – PGR Mission – Michael Rose, USMC - Vietnam – PNC – Staging: 1:15 PM

Post fundraiser- July 17 all day – Mod Pizza. Post gets 10% of sales. Need to bring a flyer or have it on your phone.

ALA fundraiser - July 25 –– 4-8 PM – Panera ( In Pine Ridge Mall near Best Buy). Bring flyer. ALR get s a % of all sales.

 August 16– District 8 – Post 78. Noon

Planning a fundraiser at ACE for Friday Oct 24 and Saturday Oct 25 and 4 hour shifts.

Finance Report: Bob Meadowcroft

Balance as today is $2776.17.

Road Captain: Bob Meadowcroft 

Next ride is Tuesday July 15 to the Ranch House Café in Ash fork. Meet at Chino Valley Shell at 8:15 for KSU 8:30.

Webmaster: Ron Arrigoni 

The website is doing well with 938 likes and 986 followers.

Secretary: Sandy Meadowcroft – None.

Quartermaster: Lynn Sweezy – None.

Membership: Cindy Arrigoni – currently 29 members.

Sgt at Arms: Mike Covell – None.

Chaplain: Juanita Moffitt - -None.

Motion to accept the Officers Reports (Finance subject to audit) made by Gary Taylor and seconded by Joe Dugan.

Old Business: 

Vote on amendments to ALR By-laws Juanita and Cindy approved it after 7B making change of wording from “mail” to “given”.

Fundraiser at Ace – Bob Dorfman taking care of it as above.
