o Food Drive for PV Food Bank, Bring canned food to our meetings and the church will deliver to the food bank along with theirs.
o Next Flag Day will be 18 May, Armed Forces Day, and 27 May, Memorial Day.
o District 8 Travelling Trophy goes to Post 108 again. Changes to By-laws, a Cross now accompanies the traveling plaque, Post 108 keeps old plaque as most frequent winner over past 3 years
o District 8 Election results: Commander - Ron Arrigoni, Vice Commander – Rusty Snyder (Post 6), Finance Officer – Gary Taylor
o Department Convention, 20-23 Jun, Oro Valley.

o Next Meeting, 11 June at PVUMC.
o Auxiliary – Yard Sale was a success, over $500, Poppies this weekend,
and a silent auction for a donated wreath at both the May and June meetings. Commander would like to thank Auxiliary for helping with the PV Days parade. Next year, possibly handing out Flag Etiquette pamphlets/cards in hopes that folks will stand as flag passes by.

Committee Reports
o Finance – Checking acct statement balance is $4021.11. Savings are $3368.94; Cadaret Grant (formerly OSAIC Financial) is $23,810.48; Ready cash is $126.08. John Moffitt made a motion to approve the Finance Report subject to audit. Rick Gunder seconded, passed.
o Membership – 1st Vice- goal for 2024 is 88 members. Department shows 96.98%, District at 101%, Post 108 has 101.14%. 3-year Membership option now available at 2024 dues rate ($45). Must re-new before 30 June for Post to reap benefits. This option only available on national website (Not Post or MyLegion.org)
o Fund Raising Report –The next fund raiser will be at Texas Roadhouse. Attendees need to present flyer or mention fundraiser. A table will be set up in front with Legion and Post information, several flyers and donation jar. Need folks to help with the table while others dine. Next fundraiser will be Mod Pizza.
o Flag Project – 7 new plaques have been requested, bringing total to 60. On Loyalty Day, two flags and poles were stolen from the Center section. These flags had names of honored veterans and will be replaced as soon as possible.
o ALR Report – New Director - Joe Dugan, Secretary – Sandy Meadowcroft, Treasurer – Bob Meadowcroft.
o Website – Doug Keller absent, no report,
o 2023 Boy’s state – Elton Anderson reports funds were sent in for 2 boys for Post, 1 for ALR, and 1 boy represented by Bradshaw Mountain High.
o 20243 Oratorical – No activity.
Sick Call
o Commander recovering well from parathyroid surgery. Ron Matthews had a visit to the ER, but is home doing well
Post Service Officer’s Report, Position is Open.
Unfinished Business
o Fund Raising Ideas: Peggy will work with Mod Pizza to set up another Fundraiser. Culver’s will be after Mod Pizza again by popular demand.
o CPR hours: Logbook available at the meeting or send to Ron Arrigoni. Annual CPR report due 1 June, so get hours in as soon as possible so Ron can work on it.
o PV Adopt-A-Highway: Still on hold, hoping for Lake Valley to Truwood.
o Nominations and Election for 2024-25 Post Officers:
Commander – Gary Taylor (after accepting previous nomination).
1st Vice – John Moffitt.
2nd Vice –No nominations. Position Vacant
Finance Officer – Bob Meadowcroft,
Members at Large (2) – Doug Keller, Bill Hudson.
o John Moffitt moved to direct the adjutant to cast a unanimous ballot for the members nominated to be the 2024-25 post officers. Mike Covell seconded, passed.
New Business
o Installation of Officers: Scott Miller, Area C Vice Commander. Also mentioned that Department Convention needs a new location for 2027- 2028 and looking to recognize Police Officer and Fire Fighter Of The Year at that time.
Good of the Legion
o Memorial Day recognition at Prescott National Cemetery on 27 May at 1100. o Covell reported the Run to Skull Valley event happening on 8 June. Staging
at 0830 for anyone interested.
o New Project ideas: looking for members willing to head up and participate. o The post needs a Service Officer. If you are interested, please contact the
Post Commander.
