We are American Legionnaires that love to ride! We go on fun rides to many places in Arizona. Many of us are also Patriot Guard Riders who are honored to stand flag lines at funerals and to escort the fallen.
Weather forecast for beyond this week finally seems to be moderating a bit, so here's a ride planned: Let's head to "Chilleen's on 17" on Tuesday, Feb 25 for lunch. Meet at the Dewey Maverik at 11:45 for KSU 12:00 for the about 40 mile run to Chilleen's. We'll use Rt 69 to I-17. Several of us used that route to the D8 meeting in Black Canyon City last weekend and found the construction / pavement situation on 17 to be much improved from what existed even a few months ago. The restrictions at mile 252 for the replacement of the Bumble Bee road bridge over 17 (just north of Chilleen's) are planned to be complete by the 25th.
Please RSVP to my email or to the reminder that I'll send a few days before the ride as the restaurant likes reservations.
I've had suggestions to visit Cowboy Cookin' in Wickenburg so look for that in the future. No exact date yet as the weather forecast is a major factor in planning but likely to be in the first week of March.
